Working at St Clare’s in summer

The college operates an extensive programme of English Language courses during June, July and August. Each year we recruit teachers, wardens and activities organisers to run our summer courses. Our students are aged between 10-15 and 15-17 and live and study at two separate sites. We are looking for staff who are experienced in these areas of work and are keen to offer the best experience to our students.

Summer EFL Instructor: for Teenagers (aged 15-17)

To plan and deliver English Language lessons, which are both challenging and stimulating, to a range of international students attending the summer courses on the St Clare’s Banbury Road campus.

Terms of Employment: Temporary fixed term
Hours of Work: 21 lessons per week for Summer English, 25 lessons per week for Intensive English

Summer Wardens

To look after young adult students accommodated in St Clare’s, residential houses during the summer to cover the annual leave of our permanent staff. Usually this will be for a period of 2, 3 or 4-weeks duration. The house warden has ‘duty of care’ and is responsible for the welfare of the students in the house.Terms of Employment: Temporary fixed term
Hours of Work: Working hours are primarily in the evenings, based on an average of 4 per day/evening (refer to duties above)
