Our new pre-Foundation allows students with a pre-intermediate level of English to smoothly transition into the university foundation system. As the Gateway to University course offers such unique benefits, we have received many enquiries about specific elements of the programme.

What are the Gateway to University Course outcomes?

Many of our Foundation Course students have previously studied English for Examinations for 9 months+ in order to be accepted. This will prepare you in 6 months only and give you the skills to excel in your academic studies for years to come.
When is the course?
Arrival date: Sunday 18 February 2018
Departure date: Saturday 7 July 2018
Is there a second intake date?
Certain students will be allowed to start the course on Sunday 1 April 2018.

What can I expect to study?
The above sample timetable will give you a taste of what you can expect to study on the course. Once a week, each student will have an academic tutorial: a one-to-one meeting with their group teacher to check progress. Our Open Learning Club is available to all students at the International College 3 afternoons a week –directed self-study is crucial to succeeding this course.
The Topic Content-led classes will be varied and interesting, providing a taste of various subjects while constantly introducing new vocabulary.
