TUTORIAL COURSES
All Tutorials and Foreign Language Tutorial Courses are normally offered in each semester. Students are reminded that Tutorial Courses make different demands on them in order to extend their academic experience on a more individual basis. The emphasis in Tutorials is on argument, discussion and effective communication and less upon the ransfer of factual information. Considerably more reading, research and individual reparation is required from students for this intense form of teaching.

Philosophy
The emphasis on the Tutorial Courses on Philosophy will be very much on how the individual student's capacity to think imaginatively and critically can be developed, and in consequence the particular topics selected by each student will constitute a major part of the course. The reading list given in each is a general one and, on the whole, introductory. Individual reading lists will be distributed to students in line with their topic choices.
