Payroll Assistant

An experienced payroll assistant is required on a part-time contract in our busy Accounts office. The person would be expected to run monthly and weekly payrolls accurately to deadlines, as well as administering the payroll and pension schemes. In depth knowledge is required of payroll legislation and the workings of PAYE, NIC'S, SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP etc.

Salary range £17,416 - £20,755 pa, according to qualifications and experience, pro-rata at 3 days per week, 21 hours, contributory pension, 22 days holiday per year plus Christmas when the College is closed, free lunches during the academic year and major summer courses.

Summer Vacancies 2003

St. Clare's, Oxford, runs a busy programme of summer courses from late June to end of August. Our courses are largely residential English language courses for international students: young adults and children. We also have an International Baccalaureate Summer Institute offering courses over a 3-week period during August only. To this end we are seeking to recruit EFL teaching professionals, academic subject teachers (IB) and other support staff to work for periods of *2 - 9 weeks (NB. some posts require staff to live in residence). *shorter periods are possible on the IB Summer Institute
