1953-2003 - 50 Years of Promoting International Education & Understanding

The College offers a wide range of cultural, sporting, physical, creative, service and recreational activities, which take place on weekday afternoons, evenings and at weekends. These form an important part of the overall educational experience, and students are encouraged to take part, choosing from over 60 regular activities.

There is also an internal social programme of events as well as trips to places of historical and cultural interest e.g. theatres and museums in Oxford, London and elsewhere for which there may be a small charge. The Liberal Arts Programme also run specific activities and trips including Amsterdam, Wales, Canterbury, Glastonbury and Salisbury. The Activities Department also organises weekend or longer trips e.g. last year to Peru, Barcelona, Prague, Krakow, Dublin, Northern Ireland and Paris. We also run outdoor activity trips e.g. to France, Italy and Austria. There is a programme of outdoor education weekend trips such as caving, rockclimbing and hillwalking.

As an international college, we engage in a wide range of activities which we hope will foster increasing international understanding among our students. These include a series of International Study visits and an 'International Affairs' lecture and discussion programme.

A full listing of the Trips and Excursions run by the Liberal Arts Programme Office is available here.
