Studying at St. Clare's gave me the opportunity to experience the English culture and gain a new perspective of the world and the American way of life. Living in such a dynamic environment and interacting with a diverse group of professors and students opened my mind to new ways of thinking- both on an intellectual and personal level. It strengthened my ability to rely on myself and grow as an individual. Overall, my semester at St. Clare's as been an invaluable learning experience.

A brief overview of life in Oxford
Oxford is one of Europe's most beautiful cities with its university colleges, museums, parks and art galleries. It is also a lively city, home to over 30,000 students at the two universities and other colleges.
We are located in Summertown, an affluent suburb of Oxford, just 1½ kilometres from the city centre. Links to London and the airports couldn't be easier with 24 hr bus services and regular trains. Travelling to European cities at weekends and London for a night out is simple when you are based in Oxford.
There are many activities in Oxford to interest students at St. Clare's - concerts, theatres, restaurants and cafes, excellent shopping, cinemas and a whole variety of sports from punting on the river, football, jazz dance, ice hockey, tennis and aerobics to horse-riding, sailing and outdoor adventure sports.
Being close to London students can travel to London for art galleries, museums, shopping, sightseeing and other events such as big venue concerts, sporting events, exhibitions and shows.
Oxford is in the centre of England, surrounded by beautiful countryside, and close to many places of interest. London, Birmingham, Stratford upon Avon, Bath, Windsor, the Cotswolds and Winchester are all within easy reach, while Cambridge can be visited as a day trip.
We are also close to four major airports which enable visiting students to travel outside England for weekends and short breaks.
