Accommodation 2008
Delegates may choose between:
• College accommodation
• Local hotel
College accommodation
Delegates may choose to book accommodation in a College house.
Please note that whilst the rooms are clean and comfortable, they are student (and not hotel) accommodation.
Accommodation fees are charged per night -
• single superior - (private toilet & shower)
• single standard - (shared bathroom)

Local Hotel
We have negotiated special rates for our delegates at a local hotel, The Galaxie. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the College and the workshop venue - (2 minutes to College, 10 -15 minutes to venue). We have arranged a special delegate rate per night for Bed and Breakfast in a single en-suite.

Booking Procedures
Galaxie Hotel - please select the appropriate option on our online application form. Please note the cancellation terms. Cancellations received after 14 days before the start of the course will be charged in full. Please note: you will need to arrange payment with the hotel separately.

Fees include
Tuition

A certificate of attendance for all delegates attending the workshop.

course materials - all teaching materials are included in the course fees
state-of-the-art library and internet resources are available to all delegates.
Meals if residential - all meals are provided in our dining room from dinner on the day of arrival to breakfast on the day of departure
delegates who do not choose our accommodation may buy meals in our dining room
Activities an evening programme of social events is included in the workshop fee. This includes the welcome dinner on the first night, all lunches and the farewell barbeque on the last night
Travel insurance Full details of our Travel Insurance policy are available in this document. Delegates are not insured for the loss or theft of their personal belongings. You are strongly advised to take out insurance on your personal belongings e.g. laptops, cameras, etc. as such items will not be covered by your travel insurance policy arranged by St. Clare's. The College will not accept liability for the loss or theft of your belongings which are your responsibility. You must use the safe in your room for money and valuables e.g. passports and travel tickets.

Meals delegates who do not choose our accommodation may buy meals in our dining room or Sugar House café / bar
Residential delegates
Extra nights Accommodation Delegates may wish to extend their stay in Oxford by up to two extra nights (Thursday and Friday)
Public transport We encourage delegates to travel to St. Clare's by bus or train. Useful links to bus and train websites are available here.
Airport transfers you can arrange for us to collect you from the airport - a personal service for an extra charge - contact our Student Services Department for quotes or more information. If you already have your flight information you may book your airport transfer online

Payment details
  • No deposit is required with the registration form.
  • You will be invoiced for the fees on receipt of your application form.
  • We are unable to confirm your reservation until we receive your fees in full.
  • The full fees must be paid at least 3 weeks before arrival.
  • Do not delay sending your fees or you may lose your place on the course or in the accommodation of your choice.

2. If you do not have a credit or debit card you may choose to pay by bank transfer*
Payments by bank transfer will only be accepted for courses booked more than 3 weeks before the start of the course.
