activities offered at St. Clare's

The College offers a wide range of cultural, sporting, physical, creative, service and recreational activities. These form an important part of the overall educational experience, and all students are expected to take part, choosing from over 60 regular activities.

Activities are led by teachers, including the full-time members of the Activities Department, visiting teachers, and students themselves. They take place on weekday afternoons and evenings, and at weekends. Optional weekend and vacation trips are also arranged.

A number of activities are particularly concerned with the College's mission of promoting international education and understanding.

All students must complete 150 hours of CAS activities. CAS stands for Creativity, Action and Service and is a compulsory part of the IB Diploma. Each student undertakes 50 hours of a creative activity, 50 hours of an action activity and 50 hours of service to the community.
