IB Teacher Workshops - Course details

Building upon the success of previous years, the programme has now been expanded to provide workshops in a wider range of subjects.

Workshop Aims

Each subject workshop provides guidance in and discussion of:
  • syllabus interpretation
  • assessment criteria
  • teaching and learning methodology
  • Workshop features

For academic components, work will be organised by subject:
  • small, informal groups
  • IBO approved leaders
  • links to TOK
  • lively social programme
  • Experience required

The teachers taking part in these workshops must have the following experience:
    • for the experienced workshops teachers need to have attended at least one IBO workshop, or should have had at least two years' experience teaching the subject as part of the Diploma programme.
    • for the introductory workshops teachers need to be new to teaching their subject as part of the IB Diploma at their school
All applications must be supported by the teacher's IB coordinator.

    Special requests

St. Clare's is keen to ensure that teachers gain maximum benefit from the workshops. To allow leaders to tailor the courses to their needs, once confirmed on the workshop, teachers are asked to contact the Course Director with their special requests.
