Pre-IB Theatre Showcase

Pre-IB students who are taking Theatre in Module 4 showcased their talents with a revue superbly directed by Victoria Watson, Theatre Studies Teacher.

The show included extracts from Shakespeare's Hamlet, Chekhov's Three Sister's and Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. There was also a unique and very amusing adaptation of The Three Musketeers which at one stage featured preparations for a battle being disrupted by one of the Musketeers (Christof Uisk) having to take a mobile phone call from his fictitious Mother.

The students performed with sensitivity, passion and professionalism with one student (Ieva Matulaityte) having to act as a stand in which gave her just 3 hours to learn her lines.

It was very pleasing that the rest of the Pre-IB year group came along to watch the revue and to support friends who were taking part. This served to create a very enjoyable atmosphere.

I enjoyed the evening immensely with my only disappointment being that the revue wasn't longer. Congratulations to Victoria Watson and all of the students who took part and who came along to watch.
