St. Clare's, Oxford-10 d'Overbroecks College-3

The boy's football team played exceptional football to defeat local rivals, d'Overbroecks College in Round 1 of the Oxfordshire Schools league. The team dominated the early exchanges and scored through Fernando Carvalho de Godoy Pereira. D'overbroecks did equalise shortly afterwards. However it was pleasing to see a positive attitude from the St. Clare's boys who did not panic and continued to encourage and support each other. The first half ended with St. Clare's scoring six goals in total. D'overbroecks did try hard in the second half and managed to add two more to their total. St. Clare's added four more. This is the first occasion that St. Clare's has scored 10 goals in a league fixture.
