Girls' football team struggle

The girls' football team were defeated 7 – 0 by our neighbours Cherwell School in a friendly match. Cherwell are the defeated finalists in the Oxfordshire Schools Cup. Our girls did struggle to cope with the pace and energy of the Cherwell team. Natalia Morgan and the defence had a very busy afternoon but there were passages of some good football at times. The St. Clare's attack did find it difficult to play in the small space that the Cherwell girls allowed them into. However the girls showed a positive attitude right to the end and it was good experience for the team.
