Fundraising for Haiti

Students studying our adult courses at the Bardwell Road Centre have raised £1,065.74 for the DEC Haiti Fund. The money was, for the most part, raised through a fund raising party held at ANUBA in Oxford.

The event was the idea of my University Foundation Course students who, as a mult-national group, felt that they needed to do something to support their fellow human beings in the aftermath of the earthquake.

We would particularly like to thank Christina Pegan, the prime mover and party "hostess", Rodrigo Ara, her able assisitant and Galina Silkina for her design work on tickets and posters. Thanks also to the Foundation Course students for their enthusiasm and encouragement. We are also grateful to all those who bought tickets for the event and to those who donated money in other ways.

As a concrete example of the school's mission and a reflection of the humanity and concern of the adult student body I feel that you would share my pride in thier achievement.
