Dickens and Childhood
As part of the Representing Childhood Bardwell Seminar Series, Dr. David Grylls,
Director of Literature at Oxford University's Department for Continuing Education,
will be giving the next talk in the Seminar Series.
David Grylls was one of the Founding Fellows of
Kellogg College
(formerly Rewley House) and has been Vice President and Senior Tutor. He is a
University Lecturer in Literature in the Department for Continuing Education and Director
of Studies of the Department's literature and creative writing programmes.
David Grylls teaches a range of courses from Shakespeare to the present day, but his
published work has concentrated on the nineteenth century. In addition to numerous
articles in academic and popular journals, he is the author of
Guardians and Angels: Parents and Children
in Nineteenth-Century Literature, and
What the Dickens: A Guide.
