Staff Football Team go for broke!

St. Clare's football club is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Young as the new first team manager of the St. Clare's staff football team. Andrew replaces David Holman. Both men were unavailable for comment but a club spokesman did confirm that David Holman was on “gardening leave”. This is a bold move from the staff team as David Holman did take his charges to success against the student team in 2010. Andrew Young did play in the victorious 1986 staff team so he knows what to expect at this level. A club source did say that Young's assets are his attention to the facts and learning from mistakes. He also knows how to get the best out of his footballers at this level with years of experience following Oxford United. Previous staff players such as Kevin Rice, Jon Halligan and Paul Lennon expressed their surprise with the appointment. One of his biggest tasks now is to ensure that Mark Watts is available for selection. Young is due to announce his squad for the big match in the next two weeks.
