Valentine's Day events raise £1,000 for charity

Members of the College's student council raised £1,000 for charity by selling and delivering roses on Valentine's Day and through organising and running a Valentine's night party in the Hall.

Almost 200 roses were sold and delivered and the Valentine's party was attended by about 100 students and included fund raising activities.

Congratulations to members of the Student Council for their hard work and thanks to all of the other students who generously supported these events.

Other events aimed at raising money for charity are planned to take place later this academic year and the Student Council will meet soon to decide which charities should receive the funds raised.
