The IB Diploma is a very well established and highly regarded international qualification and students are choosing to study for the IB rather than traditional British A' levels. St. Clare's has a worldwide reputation as experts in providing the IB Diploma. No other school or college in England has been teaching the IB longer than St. Clare's and there are only 13 other institutions in the world who have taught the IB longer than us.
We always encourage students and parents to visit the college so they can get a much better idea of just how successful we are at preparing our students, not just for the IB, but for their future studies and careers. Visits can be arranged at any time and we have three Open Days each year. We are very pleased with the excellent results achieved by our students in the May 2011 exams. A 100% pass rate and average points score of 35.80 indicates the quality of the students and their commitment to hard work. We were also pleased that one student achieved 45 points, the highest possible score in the IB. To look at the pattern of our recent IB results, please follow this link. The College had been awarded the highest rating for the quality of its boarding after a recent Ofsted inspection in November 2009, something that fewer than 10% of boarding schools achieve in the UK. Follow this link to read the full Ofsted inspection report. In January 2011 the UK government released its league tables - St. Clare's ranked 25th for all schools in England, 11th for independent sixth form schools and number one in Oxfordshire - read more here.- With the IB Diploma students are accepted at the best universities and colleges worldwide. The depth and breadth of the Diploma enables students to offer that bit extra not only at higher education institutes but also within future careers.
