Hilarious Bardwell Charity Match
A group of students from our Bardwell Road campus for adults organised a charity football match to raise money for the
Japanese Tsunami Appeal. On Thursday, staff and members of the Ferry Leisure Centre had their eyebrows
raised as a group of 30 male staff and students sauntered in sporting the latest ladies' fashion and
accessories. After the initial catwalk and photo-shoot, the game got underway. The teams played their
socks off – or in some cases, their tights! No skirt, dress, stockings, wig or bikini top posed to great
an obstacle for tearing round the pitch. Prizes were awarded for the best dress(ed). Their peers and
colleagues, not wanting to miss out on such a sight, paid good money to watch the hilarity unfold. All
in all, a total of £382.58 was raised for the
British Red Cross Japanese Tsunami Appeal. A huge thank
you and congratulations to those who organised and coordinated such a successful event!
