IB Review

Devised and developed by the Diploma teachers at St. Clare's, these unique courses enable students to refine and develop their knowledge, understanding and study skills in preparation for the final year of their IB Diploma programme. Each IB review course provides a means for students to experience a bit of ‘life as a student' and to spend time in some of the university colleges.

The course provides an opportunity for students to review their progress during the first year of Diploma studies and to identify and address any areas of weakness. The number of places is limited to 30 students per week. Class sizes are small (< 8 students). The teaching programme will be tailored as far as possible to the needs of individual students.

Each week the teaching programme includes a total of 18 hours detailed as follows:

  • Subject classes (12 hours)
  • Tutorials (one to one) (2 hours)
  • Visit to a university college (3 hours)
  • Careers / university advice (1 hour)

IB Diploma review students can choose to study from 1 to 4 weeks; they choose one subject per week.

Students wishing to attend the IB review course should apply online giving details of their current subjects, levels and latest grades. This information will be used to devise a programme of study which is tailored to the individual needs of the student.
