A programme of study designed for US undergraduate education, licensure students or trainee teachers who want to combine education courses, practical classroom experience and other academic subjects. Students enrolled on this programme will have access to the Faculty of Education library and resources.
Students following the Education Studies Programme can earn 15 or 18 units of credit as follows:
- Select from the menu of Education courses (3 units of credit each).
- Select from the menu of Liberal Arts courses and/or tutorials (3 units of credits each)
- Earn an additional 3 units of credit with the St Clare’s Seminar Series (3 units of credits).
In addition:
- Students will be assigned a placement as a classroom assistant at a local primary or secondary school for one full day per week. Your placement will be arranged in consultation with you based on age-range/ year group and subject specialism.
