Facilities

St. Clare's is located in the elegant North Oxford Conservation Area.  The college campus is made up of 27 large Victorian and Edwardian houses to which purpose-built facilities have been added. Students live in college houses close to the central campus, under the care of residential staff. There is an extensive programme of social, cultural and sporting activities and students are encouraged to take full advantage of the opportunities that Oxford provides.

The campus includes:

  • New student accommodation for pre IB students opened in 2015
  • Wireless connection throughout the college buildings and in student houses

  • New Visual Arts studio opened in 2015

  • New Science laboratories opened in 2014
  • Computer rooms for teaching and general student use including email and internet access
  • Library, housing the College's 35,000 books, periodicals, exam papers, etc.

  • Residential accommodation all of which is located within a five minute walk from the library, classrooms and dining room

Library

Located in Anne Dreydel House and named after the College's co-founder, the Library provides outstanding study facilities for the College. It houses about 35,000 books, CDs, DVDs, and media facilities. There is a computer room where students can prepare reports, essays, presentations and flyers for social activities. The Library subscribes to over 30 national and international periodicals and newspapers.
