Summer EFL Instructor: for Teenagers (aged 15-17)

To plan and deliver English Language lessons, which are both challenging and stimulating, to a range of international students attending the summer courses on the St. Clare’s Banbury Road campus.

 

Terms of Employment: Temporary fixed term
Hours of Work:  21 lessons per week for Summer English, 25 lessons per week for Intensive English

 Residential EFL Instructors: for Juniors (aged 10-15)

To plan and deliver English Language lessons that are appropriate to the age range and language learning expectations of the St. Clare’s summer course and to engage actively in the residential, pastoral, cultural and recreational aspects of the programme, according to the needs of the students and the requirements of the rota.

 

Terms of Employment: Temporary fixed term 
Hours of Work: 18 teaching hours plus 5 activity sessions  per week as part of a flexible rota

Summer Wardens
To look after young adult students accommodated in St. Clare's, residential houses during the summer to cover the annual leave of our permanent staff. Usually this will be for a period of 2, 3 or 4-weeks duration. The house warden has 'duty of care' and is responsible for the welfare of the students in the house. 
 

Terms of Employment: Temporary fixed term
Hours of Work: Working hours are primarily in the evenings, based on an average of 4 per day/evening (refer to duties above)

Student Ambassadors 

To welcome students from all over the world to St. Clare’s when they arrive on Sundays throughout the summer. Please note this role is only open to current IB1 and IB2 St Clare's students.

To provide general oversight of students on and around the Banbury Road campus in all matters relating to welfare and discipline. This is a crucial management role, especially in the evenings and at weekends, and requires a high level of competence and confidence in dealing with young people aged 15-17 from around the world
 

Terms of Employment: Temporary fixed term

Hours of Work: 48 hours over 6 days to include, late nights, early mornings and weekends.
