Trips and excursions throughout the year

All of our students get the chance to have some fun on trips away from college. Educational, physical, cultural — there are plenty of choices.

We are lucky to be so close to Stratford upon Avon (for Shakespeare), Bath (for the Romans), Wales (for castles), Thorpe Park (for the rides), Birmingham (for Cadbury’s World), Stonehenge (for the heritage) and of course London (for everything else!).

Exploring London

It takes just one hour by bus or train to get to London and once you have tried the Tube you can reach anywhere in the city fairly easily. We arrange trips to:

There are the really big shopping malls at Brent Cross and Westfield but of course the most famous shopping is Harrods in Knightsbridge, Hamleys toys in Regent Street, and all the biggest and best department stores on Oxford Street.

Supporting your favourite sports teams

For students who like sport, either watching or taking part, our students travel to see premier league football games, rugby matches, rowing regattas on the River Thames, ice hockey, road races, and more.

Weekends away

For students studying here during the academic year we arrange weekend trips.

Our adult students try surfing in Cornwall, horse riding in the New Forest, visiting Stonehenge, and spending time at the seaside towns of Brighton and Bournemouth or take trips to other countries like Morocco .

Our IB students take part in trips for study and for pleasure. As part of their science course they spend a week on a field trip studying biological systems. For their second-language options like Spanish and Portuguese they have been to Barcelona and Lisbon. As part of their politics and history studies we arrange a trip to Northern Ireland to learn about the Troubles of the 70s and 80s and visit the Titanic ship yard.
