Once again our students have produced a remarkable set of results in the prestigious IB Diploma. We are relatively unselective in intake, making the average of 36.7 points (equating to better than 3 A grades at A level) even more impressive, and the results are testament to the efforts of both our students and staff. Amongst the highlights include 25% of our 102 students scoring 40 points or over, which is equivalent to A*, A*, A at A level.
Three students scored 44 points: Richard Kundratitz who now plans to study International Business at Edinburgh University, Diego Castoldi who has been offered a prestigious Data Science Graduate Apprenticeship in association with PwC at Edinburgh and Nicholas Pfaff who has accepted a place at Imperial College to study Electronic & Information Engineering.
Our students who scored 43 points were Marie-Therese Burkhard who will study Politics, Law & Economics at the globally renowned IE Business School in Madrid, Achille Negrier who has been accepted by LSE to read Politics & International Relations and Rea Tresa who takes her place at Imperial to read Molecular Bioengineering.
Medical successes
All three of our future doctors have been successful in obtaining places at top medical schools. Isabella Zsolnai (41 points) will take her place at Queen Mary, University of London, Iana Kozymir (40 points) joins Kings College London and Zoe Martin, who won a scholarship to St Clare’s, (38 points) will attend Cardiff Medical School.
Oxbridge achievements
Local successes include Sebastian Culpepper (40 points), Charlotte Thomas (41 points) and Sara Bortolotti (38 points) who will be moving just down the road to the University of Oxford to read Music at Lady Margaret Hall, Law at Brasenose and History at St Hugh’s respectively.
International University destinations
Further afield Sophia Bretthauer (41 points) takes up a highly sought-after scholarship place at New York University, Sara Pavlovic (42 points) will study Psychology at the University of Amsterdam and Giovanni Orlandi (42 points) will join the prestigious World Bachelor in Business programme run jointly between the University of Southern California, Bocconi University and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology on a funded scholarship.
