Summer Courses in 2021

We had hoped that travel restrictions would be relaxed in time for us to run summer courses in July and August this year.

Due to the complexity of the shifting situation and the fact that families need certainty, it is with a heavy heart that all face-to-face summer courses are cancelled for 2021. The welfare of students and staff remains our number one priority.

We are running Summer Online Courses and we are looking forward to welcoming students onto our Spring and Summer Courses in 2022.

Introductory classes covering the fundamental skills to support your progression to the IB Diploma

Academic methodology: Our 3-week summer course for teenagers focusses on understanding the IB philosophy and methodology and is inspired by a Theme-of-the-Week

Excellent preparation for the IB Diploma: Our rich subject offering aligns with the IB Diploma and includes skills development which assists your progression to the IB Diploma

Study facilities: You will study our programme in England’s longest established IB World School, which exploits the full range of academic resources including well-equipped science laboratories and modern teaching spaces. Our environment and resources provide a safe environment to inspire learning

Specialist IB teaching: Our course is delivered by our highly experienced International Baccalaureate teachers. We have been successfully delivering the IB Diploma for over 40 years

Specialist subjects: Our IB Introduction includes introductory classes in English Literature, English Language, Maths, Arts, Humanities and Science. Our short summer courses include Guest Speaker events 

Learning approaches: You will discover more about the Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and how this can be applied to the key IB subjects which is fundamental to the IB Diploma programme. This element promotes critical thinking and international mindedness

Enrich your learning experience: Our varied Study Visits programme connects the classroom with the university city of Oxford

Collaborative working: You develop a sense of teamwork through a subject-based project, which enables you to engage and interact with different cultures. Focus on working collaboratively to solve problems, develop new skills and gain new experiences

Maximum of 12 students: classes are small, so you benefit from dedicated support from your subject-specific teachers
