My experience here at St Clare’s began on the morning of August 28th, when my parents dropped me off at school.

At first, I was a little scared because I didn’t know anyone and the environment was completely new to me. The idea of completely changing my life and starting over was quite strange, but luckily my family was there to reassure me.

As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by some IB2 students who accompanied me to register and go through the usual procedures. Then we had a meeting with some teachers and school staff, and finally the long-awaited moment arrived: seeing my new room where I would spend a whole year of my life and meeting my roommate.

The hardest moment was having to say goodbye to my parents and brother, even though I was quite calm because I knew they would come visit me soon.

In the evening, I had dinner in the dining hall with the girls from my house and then went to bed because I was exhausted from the day full of new experiences and incredible emotions.

The following days were spent orienting ourselves and the older kids had us do activities to help us settle in and make friends. They even organised an Olympics in which we all participated in different games. We had a blast, and it was a unique opportunity to meet new people from all over the world.
