Summer Courses for Juniors

We offer English language programmes for juniors aged between 9 -15 years old, with our English courses start from elementary level. Our junior campus is set in its own private grounds in an attractive residential part of Oxford. Oxford is a small, safe, cosmopolitan city and is only an hour from London by train.

Campus Life

Campus life is vibrant and welcoming, with students from over 35 countries creating a diverse and inclusive community. The campus features modern classrooms, IT facilities, woodland, sports fields, sports hall, tennis courts, astro pitch, and an indoor swimming pool. Common rooms and green outdoor spaces provide areas for socialising and relaxation.

Themes of the Week 

Week 1: Lights, camera, action

Dive into the exciting world of cinema, theatre, and television! In this dynamic course, students will explore behind-the-scenes magic, discuss their favourite films, and even write their own scripts. From learning how to describe characters to creating their own movie trailers, every lesson is designed to bring English to life through the language of entertainment. Perfect for future stars and directors!

Week 2: Game on

Ready, set, learn!
This theme is all about sports, video games, and competitions. Students will talk about their go-to games, learn sports vocabulary, and discuss strategies for winning. They’ll also create their own team profiles, practise giving instructions, and design a brand-new game.
Whether on the field or in the virtual world, English will be your key to victory!

Week 3: Beyond the stars

Come with us now on a journey through time and space in this out-of-this-world course!
Students will explore the wonders of the universe, from planets and constellations to black holes and space travel. They’ll learn how to describe galaxies, imagine life on other planets, and even write space adventure stories.
This theme is perfect for budding astronomers and sci-fi fans alike!

Week 4: The world around us

Discover the beauty of our planet through in-depth discussions on nature, animals, and the environment. Students will learn about ecosystems, endangered species, and environmental conservation. They’ll create projects about their animals of their choice, talk about how to protect the planet, and build a rich vocabulary to express their love for the world around us. Get ready to make a positive impact!

Week 5: Tales of Adventure

Travel back in time and explore the stories that shaped cultures around the world. From ancient myths to famous legends and timeless fables, students will delve into the art of storytelling. They’ll read exciting tales, discuss themes of bravery, friendship, and wisdom, and even create their own legendary characters and stories.
This theme is perfect for creative minds who love a good adventure!

Week 6: Healthy Habits

Let’s talk about living well! This theme focuses on health, fitness, and well-being. Students will discuss their favourite foods, learn about balanced diets, and practice vocabulary for daily routines. They’ll also explore mental health topics and the importance of mindfulness, creating projects around healthy lifestyles.
A perfect course for those interested in building good habits for life!

Activities and Excursions

A key highlight of the summer school is its dynamic and varied activities programme, designed to keep students engaged, active, and entertained throughout their stay. Activities range from sports like football, swimming, and tennis to creative and social options such as arts and crafts, board games, quizzes, treasure trails, talent shows, discos, film nights, and even circus skills workshops.

The summer school also features an exciting excursion programme, with up to three excursions included per week to some of the UK’s most popular attractions. Destinations offering students a perfect mix of fun, culture, and discovery, may include the London Eye, Natural History Museum, Warwick Castle, Thorpe Park, Blenheim Palace, a water park and a scenic London River Cruise.

Accommodation

Accommodation is comfortable and age appropriate, with multi-bed rooms for younger students, and single or twin rooms for older students. Boys and girls live separately, and all rooms come with weekly bedding and towel changes. A personal laundry service is available.

 

Food

The dining hall serves nutritious meals three times a day, catering to all dietary needs. Snacks and drinks are offered during morning and afternoon breaks.

 

Student Welfare

Safety and support are a top priority, with 24-hour supervision from the residential team and a secure, closed campus. High staff-to-student ratios ensure individual attention. Students also have access to free Wi-Fi at set times and secure storage for valuables and documents.

 

Fees and Dates

Students arrive on Wednesdays and depart on Tuesdays.

The all-inclusive fees cover tuition, full-board accommodation, a varied activities programme, up to 3 excursions per week, insurance, and airport transfers to and from Heathrow Airport.
