This year at Orientation weekend at St Clare’s, the highlight was none other than the legendary “St Clare’s Olympics.” The atmosphere was buzzing with competitiveness, energy, and just the right amount of chaos. Teams threw themselves into all sorts of bizarre but brilliant challenges — from tug of war that nearly snapped a few arms out of their sockets, to the bean bag run that looked more like a comedy sketch than a sporting event.

But as the saying goes, there can only be one winner. And this year’s champions — by complete coincidence (and definitely not because of my incredible contribution) — happened to be… THE YELLOWS.

The Yellow Team came out blazing right from the start, smashing through the opening games and building an early lead. Once we got ahead, it felt like there was no stopping us. Every game added to the momentum — and honestly, it started to feel less like an Olympics and more like a victory parade.

By the end of the weekend, the other teams were looking at us with a mix of admiration and mild jealousy, while we were busy celebrating like we’d just won the actual Olympics. Was it skill? Was it luck? Or was it simply the power of yellow T-shirts blinding the competition? Who knows. All I can say is: the Yellows didn’t just play the games… we conquered them.
