Application Procedures
To request an application form and information pack please contact us at the Admissions Office. We will make the process of application as simple as we can.

Entrance Requirements
Admission depends on the following factors for all students: to apply for the University Foundation Course, you need to:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • have a competent level of English
  • have completed secondary schooling in your own country (see examples of entrance qualifications)
  • wish to go on to study at a British University

Please check with the Admissions Office at St Clare's if you are unsure about your ability to meet these criteria.

With regard to level of English, any of the following is acceptable:

  • IELTS grade 5.5 or above with at least 5 in every skill
  • TOEFL with a minimum score of 197 (computer test) or 530 (paper test)
  • a good pass at Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE)
  • IGCSE or GCSE English Language at grade C or above

Documentary evidence is required to substantiate all examination scores.

If your level of English is not high enough to enter the University Foundation Course, you can enrol on a full-time English course at St. Clare's and transfer to the University Foundation Course when your English has met these standards.
