Dates & fees for Advanced Studies Programme
You can choose to take this course for 1 or 2 semesters. The Autumn semester is from September to December 2005; the Spring semester is from January to June 2006.
Given below are the dates for the academic year 2005/2006. The fees for 2006 will be published in June 2005.

Additional charges
Travel insurance is included in the fees for the course - there is no extra charge for Advanced Studies Programme students.
Optional college weekend trips / theatre visits / excursions, etc.
Day excursions at weekends - £20 to £25 (though some are free of charge)
Theatre tickets and transport - £10 to £30
Weekend trip with overnight stay (2 nights) - £70 to £300

Examination fees
Fees for the following examinations are currently between approximately £30- £150. Please refer to Senior Courses Office for details. Entry and fees are due about 3 months before the exam date.
Cambridge examinations
CAE Certificate in Advanced English
CPE Certificate of Proficiency in English
Other examinations
TOEIC, TOEFL (for further study in USA) SAT I, SAT II, (3 sets)
IELTS (for further study in the UK)

Additional sports and other activities
Allow - £10 to £15 per week

Methods of payment
1. You can pay by credit or debit card - we accept the following cards Visa Mastercard Delta Switch / Maestro

If you have paid your deposit by credit or debit card, then you may also pay the balance of fees using the same credit or debit card, 3 weeks before arrival. With your permission we will debit your card for the balance of fees at the right time. Note: Please note a surcharge of 2% will be made for credit card payments above £1000 (one thousand pounds).

Alternative methods of payment
2. If you do not have a credit or debit card you may choose to pay by bank transfer*
Payments by bank transfer will only be accepted for courses booked more than 3 weeks before the start of the course.

How to apply

In order to apply for this course you must be at least 18 years old. You must also be either qualified for entry to university in your own country, already at university, or a graduate. Your level of English must be at least the level of Cambridge First Certificate (FCE), IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 197 (computer score) or 530 (paper score).

• All applicants will have a telephone interview with Richard Walton, Director of Studies EFL, to establish that your level of English is appropriate for the course and ensure your application is in order.
• We will then either confirm your enrolment or contact you if we have any further questions.
