St. Clare’s offers a number of academic scholarships and bursaries to students who would benefit from and contribute to the academic and social life of our lively international community.
Each year, St. Clare's awards scholarships or bursaries to approximately 15 students. Usually two of those scholarships will be 'full scholarships' covering all tuition and accommodation costs. Other awards range in size and will include significant fee reductions e.g. 50% of total fees. To mark the 60th anniversary of St. Clare's two additional Music scholarship will be offered this year. Available to students who will take Music as an IB subject, the scholarships will cover the cost of weekly tuition in a musical instrument.
We welcome applications from students from both the UK and overseas. Awards are made on the basis of academic ability, likely general contribution to the College and financial need. Applications can only be made during the proposed year of entry and all awards run for the two years of the course, although renewal for the second year is subject to satisfactory performance and conduct.
It is a requirement that all shortlisted applicants attend Scholarship Day here at St. Clare’s which takes place in February each year. Scholarship Day consists of a series of short interviews, two written examinations and a group exercise. Parents are also required to have a short meeting with the College Bursar. All awards of scholarships and bursaries are means tested and it is a requirement that parents provide the Bursar with full disclosure of their income and assets.
Please contact Chris Osbourn, Admissions Registrar, with any questions you may have about the application procedure or Scholarship Day.
