Accommodation for teenagers aged 15-17 years old


Residential houses
Our accommodation comprises of 15 residential houses within a 5 minute walk of Banbury Road, where our teaching facilities are located. Each house accommodates between 7-25 students. The atmosphere is welcoming, informal and friendly. Our investment in our accommodation offers a safe and comfortable boarding experience. We welcome students from all over the world. You may be allocated a room with student from another country. This helps you make friends and enhances the international experience.
- Our House Parents are responsible for the supervision, welfare and care of students in each residence
- Residences are twin or triple rooms, with a limited number of single available. Male and female students live in separate houses
- All houses have a common room and a kitchen to make drinks and snacks
- Meals are provided in our modern and recently upgraded dining hall
- Free WIFI is available in each house and every student room
- House rules may differ for different age group. However, house rules must be followed
- Bed linen, towels and other useful amenities are provided
- Access to 24 hour welfare support through our network of deans, teachers, House Parents, and College nurses.
Our residences are just a short walk from the beautiful and historic city of Oxford where students can experience a thriving hub of culture and city sights.


Wychwood School
In July, some students enrolled on the Teenager Programme will be accommodated at nearby Wychwood School. It is located on Banbury Road, a short walk away from the St Clare’s main campus. Wychwood School has been a well reputed boarding school at this location for over 100 years.
The accommodation is situated in a beautiful old red brick building, with students staying in single, twin or triple rooms with access to common rooms and a secure and spacious garden. Similar to the St Clare’s Boarding Houses, students staying at Wychwood will be supervised by our friendly and welcoming House Parents who will be on hand to ensure the students are well taken care of.


Homestay
If you wish to immerse yourself in the dynamic and diverse culture in and around Oxford, you can choose to live in a homestay with one of our welcoming local hosts. This option gives you the chance to discover more about the local way of life with its mixture of the traditional and the modern and stay close to many iconic locations. The fascinating and multi-cultural city of Oxford also offers several different types of cuisine for you to sample and your host will serve their favourite home-cooked dishes from this selection. All our homestay providers are a short bus ride away from the College.
