Expect IB results |
Second year students should have brought reports and transcripts home
with them. The transcript shows a record of progress on the course so
far.
During the Spring Term
- Work will have been completed on syllabuses and
on the Internal Assessment requirements for the IB
- Mock Exams in March provided a check on the progress
of all students, as well as important practice for the final exams
- Students will have been making choices from
university offers.
During the Summer Term
- Students must arrive back on Sunday 18 April. The
period from then on is important, with teachers giving final advice,
and other important tasks to complete before the final exams
- IB exams start on Tuesday 4 May
- Some students finish their exams quite quickly,
perhaps after one week or 10 days. We then encourage them to go home
or to travel for a few days, so that they are out of the way of those
students who still have exams. Parents should send a fax in the normal
way stating their departure and return dates, and the address at which
they will be staying during this time
- Students will celebrate the end of their exams
with a Graduation Ball on Friday 28 May. There is a charge for this
of approximately £60. Students have been allowed to put this on
to the bill
- We hope that all parents will be able to come to
the Graduation on Saturday 29 May. An invitation is enclosed.
After St Clare's
- IB results should be ready by 6 July. Students
will be able to obtain their results from the Internet
- Nick Lee and Paul Lennon will be at St Clare's
during the week of 5 - 9 July to give advice on retakes, enquiries on
results, and on university plans
- All students automatically become members of the
St Clare's Alumni Association. We hope that they have enjoyed and valued
their time at St Clare's, and will want to keep in contact with us,
and with each other.
