Pre-IB /EC16+ students should have returned home with a transcript which
shows a record of progress on the course so far, and a report which gives
details of performance in each subject during Module 4 of the course.
During the Spring Term
- Modules 3 and 4 of the programme for the year were
completed
- Students made several study trips into the surrounding
area
- Students have had an interview with Nick Lee in
order to discuss their plans for next year
- Formal exams in March were used to check on the
progress of all students
- Students finished the term with a party at Ian
Gill's house where they cooked for each other and some of their teachers
During the Easter holidays
The parents of students who hope to move on to IB1 next year are asked
to fill in and send back a new application form. There is no requirement
for a new registration fee or deposit.
During the Summer Term
- This is the last Module of the year's course. We
have adjusted the programme a little in order to do more to introduce
students to subjects that they have asked to take on the IB
- Most students will take the IELTS exam on 29 May
(orals on 27 or 28 May). This is an important check on their progress
in English. We are hoping that all students who plan to go on to the
IB will achieve Level 6, though we will consider 5.5 for students who
are strong in other areas
- All parents are invited to Parents' Day on Friday
11 June. There will be a chance to meet your son / daughter's teachers
and Personal Tutor, and to catch up with events and plans at St Clare's
- We hope that as many parents as possible are able
to come on that day, but all parents are welcome to visit at any time.
During the Summer Holiday
Perhaps join our Summer Institute for revision / review of the year's
work
