We have fifteen College houses for IB students. Formerly family houses, they accommodate between 7 and 25 students, mostly aged between 15 and 20.
- Each house has its own welcoming atmosphere
- All houses are very close to the central campus
- Separate houses for male and female students
- Each house has a resident warden responsible for the welfare and care of students, and for maintaining house rules
- Weekly and fully residential arrangements are available
- House rules differ slightly for students, by age
- Two houses (the Woodstock houses) are designated for younger students (15-16 years old). The wardens arrange a special programme of house activities and provide a greater degree of supervision
- Most rooms are twin rooms with some singles, usually for second year IB students
- Meals are provided in the dining room or the Sugar House café
- Accommodation available during half term breaks, by arrangement
Welfare
- Each student has a Personal Tutor who has particular responsibility for oversight of welfare and progress
- Students have an individual weekly meeting with Personal Tutors
- Programme of personal, social, and health education
- Welfare team includes Vice Principal, Dean of Students, Wardens and Student Services Officer
- Small classes with very favourable staff-student ratios
- Termly reports to parents
- Parents' meetings scheduled, and by arrangement. E-mail has proved very useful for regular communication
